Janus Technology is a software and systems consultancy specialising in smart home and building control, with a strong focus on robust, maintainable, and well-engineered solutions. The company works across residential and commercial AV environments, supporting manufacturers and integrators with dependable software that performs reliably in real-world installations.

Founded in 2010 by Cambridge graduates Richard Caton and Matthew Faupel, Janus was established to address the increasingly complex software challenges behind modern connected systems. The team works closely with international partners to integrate third-party products with leading control platforms, frequently operating as an embedded development resource within wider engineering teams.

Core expertise lies in control system driver development, with particular emphasis on protocol implementation, error handling, performance, and long-term maintainability.
