Description:
This driver supports Video Storm CMX Series matrix switchers connected to the XP processor via RS-232.
Video Storm LLC CMX Series Matrix Switcher
This driver is for the Video Storm CMX Series of matrix switchers. It supports access to the functions of a 16x16 matrix.
Version Information
Version 1.0 - Initial release of the driver.
RS-232 Connection
The RS-232 connection on the CMX Switch should be connected with a straight-through cable to the XP-8.
The CMX Switch defaults to a baud rate of 9600.
Switch Settings
- Enable Advanced Mode - Sets switch to advanced mode.
- Disable Volume Control - Disables volume and panning control.
- Disable LED - Turns off front LED Display.
Special Notes
- Approximately every 2 minutes a system status request is sent for accurate feedback if control of the CMX switch is performed outside of the driver (i.e. via IR or front panel).
- HDMI switching and feedback is included as it is published in the protocol document but it has NOT been tested.
- Flash Save and Recall functions (1-8) are included for saving switch configurations.
