Sony Google TV Simple IP (Sony Google TV 2021-Present)

This driver is for Sony Google TVs that support the Bravia Simple IP Control Protocol via Ethernet.

Connection Settings

Connection Type - Network (TCP) only.

TCP Address - Enter the IP Address assigned to the Sony television. It is recommended the television be set to a static IP via the Internet Setup menu of the television or by setting a MAC reservation in the network router.

TCP Port - The TCP port which the driver communicates with the Sony television. The Bravia B2B Simple IP Control Protocol is currently only available using port 20060. This setting should not be changed but is available for future compatibility.

Television Settings

The settings on the Sony television should be set as such for proper operation with the driver.

If not using MAC Address reservations in the router, the IP address should be set statically in the

Driver Notes

- This driver only supports Ethernet control of the Sony television using the Bravia B2B Simple IP Control Protocol and is not compatible the advanced Web API used in the Sony Bravia IP driver. For more advanced IP control please refer to the Sony Bravia IP driver.

Variables and events are available for power, volume, mute, source inputs*, and connection status are provided.

- Functions for power, volume, mute, source input selection**, and IR emulation are available.

- Misc IR Emulated Commands are provided for All and Non-Android based version televisions. Non-Android versions may not work with Android televisions as the commands are not listed in the Bravia B2B Android Simple IP Control Protocol.

- A RAW driver command is available for extra functionality not provided through the driver commands. Feedback may not be accurately updated when using the RAW driver command.

* Not all source inputs are available for the variables and events. No apps are available for the variables and events. Any app or unknown source input selection will trigger the Unknown/App variables and events.

** Direct App selections are not available with exception of the IR Emulated Netflix key. Source input selections are for those available through the IR Emulation commands only.
