Description:
This driver is for controlling the Sonance DSP 8-130 Amplifier via IP control. This driver was developed and tested using a Sonance DSP 8-130 with firmware version 2.50. It has not been tested with the DSP 2-150 or DSP 2-750, but all three models utilize the same protocol with the limitation being how many groups, channels, and input sources are available.

Sonance DSP 8-130
This driver is for controlling the Sonance DSP 8-130 Amplifier. This driver was developed and tested using a Sonance DSP 8-130 with firmware version 2.50. It has not been tested with the DSP 2-150 or DSP 2-750, but all three models utilize the same protocol with the limitation being how many groups, channels, and input sources are available.

Connection Type
Network (TCP)
TCP Address - Enter the IP address of the DSP 8-130. It is recommended the DSP 8-130 be set to use a static IP address either via the SONARC web page or MAC reservation in the network router.
TCP Port - Enter the network port to use for TCP control. The default TCP port of the DSP 8-130 is port 52000.
Model Configuration
Model - Select the model in use. Selections are DSP 8-130 and DSP 2-150/750.
Group Configuration
Group (A-H) Name - Enter the name to be used for Group (A-H).
Channel Configuration
Channel (1L-4R) Name - Enter the name to be used for Channel (1L-4R).
Input Configuration
Input (1-4) Name - Enter the name to be used for Input (1-4).
Driver Notes
- This driver controls only the Group aspects of the Sonance DSP 8-130 amplifier. All channels to be used must be setup and assigned to Groups using the SONARC web page setup.
- Driver commands, variables, and/or events are provided for Master Power.
- Driver commands, variables, and/or events are provided for Group Name, Power, Input, Volume and Mute.
- Driver commands are provided for All Groups. Variables and events are not available for the All Group control commands.
- Driver feedback and/or events are provided for Channel Name, Short Protect, and Overtemp only.
- The driver will initialize the Master Power Status, all available Group queries, and Channel Short Protect/Overtemp. Group Power Status is not available according to the DSP 8-130 protocol documentation.
- The driver will attempt to keep the Group Power Status variables in sync with the system as long as the DSP 8-130 is only controlled through the driver. Upon initialization, the Group Power Status variables will likely be out of sync, but as soon as any Group Power, or All Group Power commands are issued the Group Power Status variables should sync up for the respective group or all groups.
- Master Power changes do not affect the Group Power variables being as the Group Power status cannot be polled for. If the DSP 8-130 is powered off using the Master Power Off command, and is then turned back on using the Master Power On commands, the driver will continuously poll for accurate master power status. Once the DSP 8-130 replies that it in on, the driver will then poll the individual groups for updating volume, input, and mute status variables.
- Automated polling routines are implemented in the attempt at keeping the variable information accurate as long as the DSP 8-130 is only controlled through the driver.
- The Channel Short Protect/Overtemp queries are sent to the unit approximately every 15 minutes once the system initializes. If the state of any channel short protect or overtemp changes, events will be triggered for the respective channel and state.
