Driver Features

This driver allows users control over WiFi capable 2024 Samsung Soundbars (see models in driver notes). This driver supports power control, sound control, subwoofer control, remote key control, and input select control.

Driver Configuration

Control Type:

IP Control

– IP

The IP Address of the device intended to connect for control. The port defaults to 1516.

– Port

The port for communicating with the device. 1516 by default.

The Samsung SmartThings app is REQUIRED to connect any of these soundbars to WiFi. Once the soundbar has been set up in the smartthings app appropriately, IP control has to be turned on for the soundbar in the app settings. This allows the soundbar to generate an access token and connect to the driver. The driver will not work unless IP control is turned on and the token can be generated.
