Description:
This driver is for Rotel RSP/RSX series receivers, connected to the XP Processor via RS-232.
Version History:
Version 1.10 adds support for RSP-1572 and RSX-1562, adds metadata display and control for USB/iPod, and also includes a sample file.
Rotel RSP/RSX Series Receivers
This driver was designed and tested with Rotel RSP-1570, RSX-1560, & RSX-1550 receivers.

RS-232 Connection
The Serial (RS-232) connection on the Rotel Receiver should be connected with a straight through cable to the XP Processor serial adapter.
The baud rate of the Serial (RS-232) port is 115200.
Device Model
- Select the model the driver is communicating with.
Input Label Mapping
- Used for matching with input label entered in the receiver to the driver for source selection variables. The defaults are the defaults the receiver comes shipped with. Future A, B, & C are used if inputs are added to future models/revisions.
Disable FL On/Off Display Toggle
- Used for disabling the ability to turn the front display of the receiver off. When checked the display is turned back on from the driver and the driver command for FL On/Off is disabled. This selection should be checked if multizone use of the receiver is utilized as zones 2, 3, & 4 require the display be turned on for feedback to the driver.
Driver Notes
- This driver does not automatically get variable information upon initialization. The receiver/zone must be turned on or a source selected in order variable population. Zones 2, 3, & 4 do not supply volume information unless a volume command for the zone has been initiated by the user.
- Tuner feedback is provided only if the main zone has the tuner selected as its current source.
- Source selection through the driver is not available while the desired zone is in mute.
- USB/iPod control/feedback is only applicable when USB/iPod is selected in the Main Zone.
