Version: 1.0

Description:

This driver is for the PureLink PM Series Matrix Switchers. Control is via RS-232 or Ethernet and up to a 64 I/O configuration is supported.

PureLink PM Series Matrix Switch

This driver is for the PureLink PM Series Matrix Switchers using Serial or Ethernet connectivity. Firmware in the unit during driver development was 2.20.

Revision History

1.0 The Initial release of the driver

Connection Settings

Network (TCP)

The TCP/IP connection on the PureLink matrix switch should be connected to the Ethernet Network. IP reservation or a static IP address is recommended. The PureLink matrix switch uses port 3000 as default for TCP/IP communication.

RS-232 Connection

The Serial (RS-232) connection on the PureLink matrix switch should be connected with a straight through cable to the XP processor serial adapter. The PureLink matrix switch defaults to a baud rate of 19200 but can be set to use 38400, 57600, or 115200 as well.

Selected Output Settings

Enable Selected Output - Enables the Selected Output capability in the driver for use. This feature is used for minimizing the need of setting up multiple zone pages on the user interface. The selected output is the current output to be controlled from the selected output driver commands.

I/O Configuration

Last Output Used - Select the last output to be used in the system. The driver currently supports 64 outputs.

Last Input Used - Select the last input to be used in the system. The driver currently supports 64 inputs.

Output and Input Naming

Enter the names preferred for use in the driver commands, variables, and events. All visible fields must be named.

Driver Notes

- Routing variables are provided for Audio Routing and Video Routing separately. Combined Audio/Video Routing variables are not available.

- When using the combined Audio/Video Adjust Output Route commands, the driver uses the Video Route variables as the reference point for the adjustment.

- Multiple Output Commands provide access for controlling multiple outputs with a single command. The Output List can be either comma or hyphen separated. The Track Output field is used as the reference for commands that use variables for adjustments.

Examples:

If the Output List is set to 1,2,4,8 with the Track Output set to Output 1, the command will control outputs 1, 2, 4, and 8 while using output 1 for reference.

If the Output List is set to 1-8 with the Track Output set to Output 1, the command will control outputs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 while using output 1 for reference.

- A RAW Command is available for commands not in the driver. The RAW Command automatically adds the carriage return at the end so it can be omitted from the command string.
