Media Menu System
The media menus for iPod, HMG and Sirius radio are made up of 4 Menu Line text variables, a variable to highlight them and commands to directly select them. It is not a true two way list so it will not scroll with gestures on an RTI panel. The unit has two main operational modes. It's either playing or not so there are boolean variables that reflect that. When it's playing it does not update the menu items and the selection commands are not operable. When it's not playing the metadata does not get updated. Because of this the sample file uses the playing and not playing variables to only show the variables that are active at the time.
When the menus are visible you can cursor up and down through the menus and the highlights will move and the text scrolling happens automatically. There are also page up and down commadns for faster scrolling. There is also a variable/command pair for faster scrolling through the menus when the number of items gets long. The 'Menu List Scroll' command and the 'Menu Scroll Bar Progress' scale the size of the menu as it changes so the values are not usable as integers. The sample file uses this on it's menus. On an RTiPanel this causes a bit of a problem as the slider works upside down.
