Description:
This driver is for the Pioneer Elite BDP series Blu-Ray Players via Ethernet or RS-232.
Pioneer Elite BDP
This driver is for the Pioneer Elite BDP series Blu-Ray Players. The unit used during development was a BDP-62FD with a software version of V02.13.
Revision History
1.0 The Initial release of the driver
1.1 Driver Maintenance
TCP Connection
The TCP connection on the Pioneer BDP should be connected to the Network. It is recommended the BDP be set to a static IP via router MAC address reservations as it was noticed during driver development that the BDP responded undesirably when the unit itself was set to a static IP.
The driver uses port 8102 as a default.
RS-232 Connection
The RS-232 connection on the Pioneer BDP should be connected to the XP serial adapter with a null modem.
The Pioneer BDP uses a baud rate of 9600.
Driver Notes
- The driver utilizes a combination of query routines and transport command triggered feedback in order to receive the playback information. Feedback via RS-232 may have a delay in updating process due to the way the BDP responds via RS232. This is more noticeable when using the scanning capabilities of the DBP.
