General Settings
Serial Port: Choose the serial port that the Grand Concerto is connected to.
Slave Zones
The menu of a zone with a keypad cannot be controlled via the serial port. Fortunately you can slave zones together to allow the driver to access a zone with a NuVo keypad. The status and metadata will always come from the main zone, while menu commands must always be addressed to the slave zone. The driver tab for the driver has a section that allows you decide which port slaves to which. There is variable for each of the 16 hardware zones. If there is no keypad you can leave the zone talking to itself, if you need to slave another one you enter it here (the sample file shows that 17 is slaved to zone 1). The driver will send the commands to slave the zones on startup so you don't have to do this manually.
Menu Browsing
The Nuvo System does not keep menus active indefinately. After a 5 minute timeout it will blank the menu lines. In addition, a menu that has already been selected may be invalid. Because of this a mechanism is added to hide non-active menus rather than leaving the text visible. There are a pair of variables (Menu On and Menu Off) that allow you to control visiblilty when a zones menu is active as well as a corresponding set of driver events that allow page flips to be triggered when the menu is enabled.
Driver Events
System Macros can be triggered using Driver Events. Events are available for Zone 1-16 On and Off as well as Source switching, additional events help with menu manipulation with events for Menu On and Off 1-20
Sample File
The sample file contains two panels. The first is a RK3V set to emulate a NuVo keypad. It is set to control zone 1 using zone 17 as a slave. It uses Zone 1 metadata ( and keypad commands) but sends menu commands to Zone 17. The second panel is a virtual panel that show similar control of Zone 2 without using a Slave Zone. This won't work if there's a keypad on Zone 2.
