This driver enables control of Novastar H Series Video Wall Splicers via UDP or RS232 (with applicable i/o card). It provides reliable preset recall and preset information feedback. Currently supports 8 screens, with 8 presets each. This driver is considered a "Lite" driver, as there is limited functionality at this time.
This driver was developed in partnership with AWALL.

Novastar H Series Video Wall Splicer Driver (Lite)
Driver Overview
This driver enables control of Novastar H Series Video Wall Splicers via UDP or RS232* communication. It provides reliable preset recall and preset information feedback. Currently supports 8 screens, with 8 presets each. This driver is considered a "Lite" driver, as there is limited functionality at this time.

System Requirements
- RTI XP-series processor
- Integration Designer 11.2 or higher
- Novastar H Series Video Wall Splicer (developed with an H2 device)
Supported Communication Methods
- UDP (network)
- RS232 - Supported by device with external I/O RS232 addon according to manufacturer. Serial commands untested.
Driver Configuration
1. Add the driver to your Integration Designer project.
2. In Driver Properties, select the communication method (UDP or RS232**).
3. For UDP: Enter the IP address and port of the Nova device.
4. For RS232: Select the correct setting and ensure cabling matches Nova documentation. I/O addon card required if device is not equipped with RS232 ports.
Available Functions
- SetPreset(presetNum): Recalls a preset on the video wall splicer.
- Param1: Screen Number (1-8)
- Param2: Preset Number (1-8)
Troubleshooting & Notes
- Ensure the Nova device is powered on and connected to the same network as the processor (for UDP).
- For RS232, verify cable pinout and baud rate settings.
- If preset recall does not work, confirm the preset exists on the Nova device.
- Only one communication method (UDP or RS232) should be active at a time.
