Revision History
1.0 The Initial release of the driver
1.11 Adds the Advanced Programming Extensions for Integration Designer 10 and above
1.12 Driver Maintenance
RS-232 Connection
The Serial (RS-232) connection on the Meridian Surround Controller should be connected with a null modem to the processor serial adapter.
The baud rate of the Serial (RS-232) port is set to 9600.
Driver Notes
- A polling routine is set up to acquire the variable parameters. Upon a processor reboot, acquiring the variable parameters may take up to 30 seconds.
- LFE level control is only available when the Meridian Surround Controller is in a 5.1 supported surround mode. These modes include Discrete, Cinema, PLIIx Mus6, PLIIx Mov6, THX, THX EX, THX Ultra II Cinema, THX Music, and all user presets.
- The driver tracks the last source selected in the zones for the ability of adding a power toggle to the driver. The first time a zone is powered on after a processor reboot via the toggle power command, the default source is CD. Directly selecting a source will also turn the respective zone on.
