Marantz ST7001 AM/FM/XM Tuner

This driver is for the Marantz ST7001 AM/FM/XM tuner. This driver supports the US model ST7001 only. The European model is not and will not be supported, as it does not have an RS-232 port.

RS-232 Connection

The RS-232 connection on the ST7001 interface should be connected directly to the XP-8 serial adapter; a null modem is not required. A DB-9 female to DB-9 female gender changer is required to connect the XP-8 adapter.

Station Naming Feature

This driver provides an optional station naming feature. If you wish to use this feature, you can fill in the names of up to 20 AM and 20 FM stations in the driver configuration under the "Station Names" section. To use the names, assign the Station Name system variable to a text field. As the tuner is used, if the frequency matches one of the 40 pre-configured station frequencies, the Station Name variable will contain the name entered for that frequency. If the frequency does not match any of the frequencies in the list, you can use the "Unnamed Station Mode" configuration option to cause the Station Name variable to show either the current frequency, two dashes, or nothing at all.
