Description:
This driver is for the RF only portion (Link 8) of Lutron HomeWorks processors connected via RS-232 or Ethernet. This driver supports up to 4 processors.
Please Note: The HomeWorks RF is a different driver from all other HomeWorks drivers.
Lutron HomeWorks RF
This driver was designed and tested with a Lutron HomeWorks 8 Series Processor (ID 1) and a Lutron HomeWorks 4 Series Processor (ID 2). Feedback support is for up to 4 processors (1-4). This is a RF only driver.
HomeWorks RF is a completely different driver from all other HomeWorks drivers. The Update Drivers command will not work; the current driver must be deleted and the new driver added
Revision History
1.0 The Initial release of the driver
Config Settings
TCP Connection
The Ethernet connection on the HomeWorks Processor/s (specifically ID 1) should be connected to the Network.
The factory default IP Address of the HomeWorks Processor is 192.168.250.1 using telnet on port 23.
TCP Username and Password are required for initializing a telnet session with the driver. These can be up to 32 characters max using a-z, A-Z, or 0-9.
Username and Password must be setup in the Illumination software by the HomeWorks programmer. Monitoring of Dimmer Levels and Keypad LEDS must be selected, along with Suppressing Prompts on the Address Assignment/Link 9: (Ethernet) settings page in the Illumination software.
RS-232 Serial Port Settings
The RS-232 connection on the HomeWorks Processor (ID 1) should be connected directly to the XP-8 serial adapter; a null modem is not required.
The baud rate of the HomeWorks Processor is selectable from 300-115200. 9600 baud is recommended by using the HomeWorks Processor 9600 Configuration Switch "On".
Processor Initialization Settings
- Note - For a faster driver initialization uncheck the "Initialize Processor RF Devices" not in use and enter the "Last ID" used on the processors that are checked.
Initialize Processor (1 - 4) RF Devices -
Used for enabling/disabling specified processor variables at startup
Last RF Dimmer ID Used (Processor 1 - 4) -
Enter the last RF Dimmer address on the specified processor. Default is set to 64 (max number possible on this link in a single processor system).
Last RF Keypad ID Used (Processor 1 - 4) -
Enter the last RF Keypad address on the specified processor. Default is set to 32 (max number possible on this link in a single processor system).
