Description:

This driver is for the Key Digital AVoIP and uses Ethernet connectivity. It has 64 available outputs and 32 available inputs. The driver was tested on a system with 4 outputs and 3 inputs. The model numbers that were used in the test build were: KD-IP822DEC, KD-IP922DEC, KD-IP822DEC, and KD-IP922ENC.

Please Note: This driver requires advanced knowledge of the Key Digital AVoiP system to configured and set up properly.

Version History:

Version 1.1 - Added system variable for selected input name.

Version 1.11 - Fixed issue where system functions, variables, and events weren’t displaying in ID.

Key Digital AVoIP

VoIP requires high network bandwidth, while using this driver ensure that network cables, routers, switches, etc. have sufficient bandwidth.

Revision History

The Initial release of the driver

1.1 Added a system variable that displays the name of an output’s selected input.

1.11 Fixed issue where system functions, variables, and events weren’t displaying in ID.

Connection Settings

Connection Type - Network (TCP).

Network (TCP) Connection

The Network (TCP/IP) port on the Key Digital AVoIP should be connected to the same network that the XP processor resides on.

The IP Address of the Key Digital AVoIP should be set to a static IP address and that address needs to be entered in the IP Address field. The IP address should be assigned to an encoder device / input. If the IP address is assigned to an output there is a chance that commands sent to the device will not be properly processed.

The Key Digital AVoIP uses port 23 for default TCP/IP communications.

I/O Settings

Output Count - Select the number of outputs on the switch. Choices are 0-64 outputs.

Input Count - Select the number of inputs on the switch. Choices are 0-32 inputs.

Input / Output Naming - Enter the names preferred for use in the driver commands, variables, and events.

Mute Commands

The driver has three mute commands – audio mute, video mute, and input mute.

Audio mute will mute the output audio (The output port that has a 6 pin phoenix connector, not the HDMI).

Input mute will mute the encoder / input’s audio.

Driver Notes

The driver will enter an initialization state directly after startup that lasts for approximately 20 seconds. During this time avoid sending commands to the driver.

The “Set All Outputs Source Selection Command” can be intensive on larger systems – expect a few second delay before system variables update.

A method to send RAW commands is available.
