QMotion - Shade Control Driver
Obtaining the Hub Auth Code
What you will need:
1) The IP address of the QzHub on the network.
2) The Hub Activation Key, found in the box with the QzHub.
Start the Intrinsic - QzHub Driver Support App found in the root of the driver package and ensure the hub is in paring mode.
1) Enter the IP address of the hub and the Hub Activation Key and click “Pair”
2) Once paired you will see the Auth Code becomes populated. You need to copy this and keep it somewhere for future use.
3) Now that we have the Auth Code, we can click “Query” to get a list of devices attached to the hub.
4) Once the query returns, we recommend you copy and paste this into excel or similar and save it somewhere.
The device IDs returned are key to communication with devices connected to the QzHub and will be used in the control driver for communication.
RTI Driver Configuration
Once you have added the driver to the program you will need to enter the following to get started:
1) The IP address of the QzHub you wish to communicate with (the one you paired with above)
2) The Hub Auth code, obtained above.
3) Dim Time(s), this is how many seconds you wish to apply to the dimming of lights (this driver is for blinds, but lights can also be controlled).
Next we need to supple the device IDs for the devices we wish to control, enter these in the driver config from Device 1 - 50. You can leave blanks here for nice grouping if you wish. Please make a note of which device numbers you allocate to which device IDs.
Controlling a Device
There are two actions available for device control:
1) Device Up / Down
Device
The Device parameter is the device number used in the RTI driver, for instance if the device you want to control and been entered in the driver device list at position 5, then this would be 5.
2) Device Stop
Device
The Device parameter is the device number used in the RTI driver
