Hisense Smart TV Driver Documentation

Introduction

This driver is for Hisense Smart TV via IP control.

Connection Settings

Connection Type IP Control

IP Address Enter the IP address, which can be viewed in Settings > Network & Internet > Choose your network name and check the “IP address” on TV, such as 192.168.x.xxx.

IP Port Enter the IP port which the driver communicates with the Hisense TV. The port number must set to “11679”.

TV Setup

Step1 Make sure that the TV and Controller are connected to the same Local Area Network.

Step2 Enable the "Network IP Control Port" in system menu on TV: Settings -> Channels & Inputs-> External inputs-> "Network IP Control Port.

Step3 When the driver trying to establish communication with the TV, the TV side will pop up a window, which shows “A Smart Device is trying to connect device, do you want to give the access permission”. The window will show up in a few seconds.

Always agree Selecting “always agree” will give the device permanent access permission. If not select it will give it the permission of 90 days.

OK Clicking the “OK” button will trust the device and finish the setup.

Cancel Clicking the “Cancel” button will not trust the device and finish the setup.

Manager your devices

Select the item of "Network IP Control Port”, and press the “>” key in remote control of the TV 10 times. TV will show “Deregister Device” and “Untrusted Device” below "Network IP Control Port”.

Note: Settings -> Channels & Inputs-> External inputs-> "Network IP Control Port” on TV.

Deregister Device if Clicking the “OK” button in step3, the device will add to Whitelist. You can check it and delete it on the “Deregister Device” of TV.

Untrusted Device if Clicking the “Cancel” button three times in step3, or the window is time out three times. The device will add to Blacklist. You can check it and delete it on the “Untrusted Device” of TV.

Note: One device has three chances to connect TV. After user first time decline, the reconnect timeout is 5 minutes, if Device connect again in 5 minutes, Authority will decline automatically. A reconnect timeout is 15 minutes after user decline second time. If user has declined three times, the Device will be put into Blacklist, so after this, all the reconnections will be declined by Authority Module until user remove the Device from the Blacklist.

Support Function

Driver supports commands over IP, such as: number, channel up/down, volume +/-, mute, navigation, etc.
