Cool Automation CoolMaster Interface Adapters for VRV/VRF AC Systems
This driver is for a CoolMaster Interface for controlling AC Systems. Driver version 1.1 was tested on a CoolMaster 1000D with a firmware version of 2.6.6.

RS-232 Connection
The RS-232 connection on the CoolMaster interface should be connected directly to the XP Processor serial adapter; a null modem is not required.
The default baud rate is set to 9600, but can be adjusted to 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, or 115200.
Number of Thermostats Supported
CoolMaster 4000M - 50 Total (using system number 0 only and unit numbers 1-50)
CoolMaster 1000D - 64 Total (using system numbers 1-4)
CoolMaster 2000S, 3000T, 7000F, 9000H - 64 Total (using system numbers 1-9 and/or A-F)
Driver Settings
Poll Command Type
Selection of stat, stat2, or stat3 are available. Refer to the CoolMaster documentation for which type should be used in conjunction with the type and firmware of the CoolMaster system.
Format Setting
Enable Native Fahrenheit - By checking this box and using with a supported system, the resolution of the thermostat will be natively sent in Fahrenheit readings and not a conversion from centigrade. The "set deg" command is automatically sent to the CoolMaster system during the initialization process.
Thermostat Address Mapping
Used for mapping CoolMaster UID addresses in the driver. The address must contain 3 digits (example - address 3 = 003, address A24 = A24). If the address mapping slot is not to be used, leave the field empty. Once the addresses are mapped the Thermostat Slot ID is used in place of the CoolMaster UID in the driver commands and variables.
Notes
Not all CoolMaster models and firmware versions support the native Fahrenheit format. Systems not supporting native Fahrenheit, use Centigrade set-points and readings internally. The Fahrenheit variables and commands on these systems are based on the conversion from Centigrade.
