Version History
v1.0 - Initial release
Bond Bridge | HTTP | Version 1.0
Introduction
The Bond Bridge driver provides monitoring and control of devices supported by Bond Bridge and Smart by Bond, over a standard HTTP network connection. The driver communicates using the Bond Local REST API and discovers configured devices, groups, and scenes. During driver configuration, it dynamically generates Sources, Functions, Variables, and Events based on the capabilities supported by each discovered device.
Driver Supports
- Single/Multi Bond Bridge Control
- Ceiling Fan Control
- Light Control
- Motorized Shade Control
- Fireplace Control
- Heater Control
- Group Control
- Scene Trigger

System Requirements
- RTI Integration Designer 11.x or above
- RTI XP Processor Firmware 25.x or above
- Bond Bridge and RTI Processor must be connected to the same local network.
- Bond Bridge must be reachable over HTTP.
Driver Configuration
1. Prepare Bond Bridge
- Verify the Bond Bridge is installed and powered on.
- Verify all the devices were paired to the respective Bond Bridge.
- Connect the Bond Bridge to the local network.
- Obtain the IP Address of each Bond Bridge.
2. Configure Driver Settings
- Enter Driver Name.
- Enter the number of Bond Bridges. *Required
- Enter the IP Address for each Bond Bridge. *Required
- Enter the Pin for each Bond Bridge. *Required
- Configure Debug Level if required.
3. Run the Configuration Script
- Click Get Device Data.
The driver automatically discovers:
- Devices
- Device Capabilities
Configuration settings are automatically generated based on the discovered devices and supported capabilities.
4. Build Driver
- Click Build Driver.
The driver automatically generates:
- Sources
- Functions
- Variables
- Events
5. Add Sources
After the configuration process completes, the following sources become available for each discovered device.
- {Device Name} - Device Source
Each discovered device is automatically created as an RTI Source.
Autoprogram
- After adding sources, use RTI Autoprogram to automatically map functions and variables to supported RTI templates.
Note
- Devices are discovered automatically from all configured Bond Bridges.
- Functions are generated only for capabilities supported by each device.
- Groups and Scenes are discovered dynamically.
- Assign static IPs to all configured Bond Bridges.
- Verify devices were paired to the respective Bond Bridge before running the configuration script.
- Variables, Events, and Functions are generated based on the device’s reported capabilities. For further details, please refer to the Bond Bridge documentation.
Limitations
- Bond Bridge must be reachable on the local network.
- Only capabilities supported by the Bond Local API are exposed within RTI.
