Description:
This driver supports the 8x8 and 18x18 versions of the AutoPatch PrecisLT with DSP stereo audio matrix switchers connected to the XP processor via RS232.
Version History:
Version 1.1: adds Boolean variables for source selection.
Version 1.2: adds Dynamic Naming and Configuration.
Version 1.3: adds APEX support.
AutoPatch PrecisLT with DSP Matrix Switcher
This driver is for the AutoPatch PrecisLT stereo audio matrix switcher with DSP and volume control. It supports both the 8x8 and 18x18 models.
RS-232 Connection
The RS-232 connection on the AutoPatch should be connected through a null modem to the XP-8 serial adapter.
"Current Output" System Variables & Commands
The driver implements an optional concept called "Current Output". The purpose of these commands is to allow a single set of controls to operate every output on the AutoPatch matrix. As an example, this allows you to program a single set of equalizer controls to a handheld remote, and carry that remote around from zone to zone to adjust the equalization settings. The alternative would be to create eighteen separate pages, one that controlled each zone.
The "current output" commands should NOT be used for normal input switching and volume control, because there is only one current output for the entire system, changing it on any panel changes the output that the "current output" commands manipulate from every panel. The normal commands are fixed to a specific output and do not have this limitation.
