Description:

This driver is for ADA Suite 8/16/8000 Series Multi-Room A/V controllers connected to the XP Processor via the ADA ISO-CAT II RS232 I/O interface. It supports access to the functions for up to 16 Rooms & 16 Sources. Support for ADA AM/FM, HD, and Sirius/XM Tuners connected to the ADA bus is also included.

Version 1.1 expands room support for up to 32 rooms, and adds dynamic naming and configuration.

RS-232 Connection

The RS-232 connection on the ADA ISO-CAT II interface should be connected with a straight-through cable to the XP processor.

The ADA ISO-CAT II interface defaults to a baud rate of 19200, but can also be set to a baud rate of 1200.

Driver Notes

- 32 rooms and 16 sources are supported in the driver.

- Memory recall commands are provided for Room Volume, Room Tone, and Room Balance. These memory locations must be setup in the ADA software.

- Party Group Commands are provided for Input Selection, Volume, and Set Party Volume. These group assignments must be set up in the ADA software. Feedback for Party Groups is not provided.

- Set Party Volume commands should be used to directly set the party volume to a specified level. Because of the lack of Party Group feedback, the Set Party Volume should NOT be used with graph objects such as volume sliders.

- Paging Commands are provided for Group Paging, Direct Room Paging, Page All Rooms, and All Paging Off. Refer to the ADA product documentation for capabilities and use.

- Tuner Commands are provided for controlling ADA AM/FM, HD, and Sirius/XM Tuners connected to the ADA bus. Tuner feedback variables provided are Single & Multi-Line display text fields.

- Breakaway or Standalone Video routing is not supported. Video routing (if applicable) follows audio routing.
