Lyrion Music Server
By: Ryan Melena
Updated: June 10, 2026
Version: 1.0
Control Lyrion Music Server (LMS) and its connected players directly from your RTI system. This driver supports up to 20 simultaneous players — including hardware Squeezebox devices and software players such as Squeezelite — all managed through a single driver instance over a persistent TCP connection. Real-time status updates keep playback state, track metadata, volume, and player power in sync without polling.
Full transport and volume control, browsable music library navigation, now-playing queue management, player sync grouping, and Pandora integration are all supported. The driver includes a per-remote keyboard for search input, customizable home menu ordering, and convenience features such as saved default stations and random playlist playback from a Favorites subfolder.
This driver traces its origins to the Squeezebox Driver originally created by JBWorks, whose early implementation provided the foundation on which this project was built.
