This driver controls one Lumens OIP-N60D decoder. The decoder takes a video stream from the network and sends it to a TV or a screen over HDMI or through USB (using it insetad of grabbers to stream in UCC cameras in, tested with Lumens VC-TR40, Lumens VC-TR60, Lumens R30 and Atlona AT-HDVS cam, also vew brands of CCTV cameras - Dahua and Hikvision). Use one driver instance for each decoder. Tested with decoder firmware OIB1.38.

Lumens OIP-N60D

This driver controls one Lumens OIP-N60D decoder. The decoder takes a video stream from the network and sends it to a TV or a screen over HDMI. Use one driver instance for each decoder. Tested with decoder firmware OIB1.38.

1. What you need

- The IP address of the decoder.

- The user name and password of the decoder web page.

- A licence key for this processor (see part 7). Without a key the driver works for 2 hours after every start.

2. First setup (5 steps)

1. Open Driver Configuration for this driver.

2. Decoder Connection: type the IP Address of the decoder. Leave HTTP Port 80. Type the Username and Password of the decoder web page.

3. License: paste the License Key. If you do not have one yet, leave it empty and read part 7.

4. Sources: set Source Count to the number of sources you want to use (1 to 16). Give each source a short Name, for example "Camera Room A". Do not use the character ':' in a name.

5. Download the system to the processor. Wait about 10 seconds and check the variable Connected. It should be true.

3. What a source is

The decoder keeps its own list of sources on its web page. Source 1 in this driver is the first source in that list, Source 2 is the second one, and so on. The driver only gives each of them your own name.

IMPORTANT: if somebody deletes sources, moves them, or runs a new scan on the decoder web page, the order changes. Then Source 3 can be a different camera than before. After any change on the decoder, look at the variables Decoder Slot 1 Name, Decoder Slot 2 Name and so on. They show what is in each slot right now.

The variable Source N Available is false when slot N does not exist on the decoder. You cannot select such a source.

4. Two pictures (streams)

Stream 1 is the main picture. Stream 2 is the small picture in PIP mode, or the right picture in PBP mode. Use Select Source Stream 1 and Select Source Stream 2 to choose what each picture shows.

PIP and PBP do not work when one picture is 4K. This is a limit of the decoder, not of the driver. The variable PIP/PBP Available tells you if you can use PIP or PBP now. If you try anyway, the driver does not send the command and writes the reason in Last Error.

5. Buttons and feedback

A Select Source button lights up at once when you press it. The decoder needs 1 to 3 seconds to answer. If the decoder shows a different source, the button goes back and the Command Failed event runs. Feedback Hold (ms) under Advanced sets how long the driver waits for the answer. The default is 6000 ms.

Volume, mute, power and CEC also change on the panel at once and are checked again about 2 seconds later. The driver reads the decoder status every 3 seconds, so changes made on the decoder web page also show up on the panel.

The events Stream 1 Source Changed and Stream 2 Source Changed only run after the decoder confirms the change. A macro on these events never runs on a guess.

6. Sound and TV power

HDMI Volume and HDMI Mute control the sound that goes out over HDMI. Line Out Volume controls the analog audio output of the decoder.

The decoder API has no command to switch a TV on or off directly. Use CEC Settings instead: the TV can switch on when a stream starts, and switch off after a delay. Power switches the decoder itself on or off.

7. Licence

The licence belongs to one processor. Steps:

1. Download the system with this driver.

2. Read the variable Processor MAC (or find the line "licence:" in the processor trace). It looks like 00609FABCDEF.

3. Send this MAC address to SystemAV and ask for a key for the driver "Lumens OIP-N60D": przemek@systemav.pl (www.systemav.pl). Write the MAC address, the driver name and the name of the project.

4. Paste the key into License Key and download the system again.

5. Check the variable Licensed. It must be true. License Status shows "Licensed".

Without a key the driver works for 2 hours after every start. Then it stops talking to the decoder, License Status shows "Unlicensed - stopped", and the event License Trial Expired runs. A restart gives 2 more hours. If a key is wrong, Last Error explains why.

8. When something does not work

First look at the variables Connected, Last Error and License Status. Then switch on Enable Trace under Advanced, download the system, and read the processor trace. Every line starts with OIP and the IP address of the decoder, so you can see which instance wrote it, for example: OIP 192.168.11.7: v1.6 started.

- Connected is false: wrong IP address, or the decoder is off, or the network is blocked.

- Login Failed event, Last Error about user name or password: wrong login data.

- Source names are empty and Source Count looks wrong: the decoder has fewer sources in its list.

- Nothing happens after a button press: check License Status first, then Last Error.

9. Support

SystemAV - przemek@systemav.pl, www.systemav.pl. For a licence key send the Processor MAC. For a problem send the processor trace with Enable Trace on, the driver version and the decoder firmware version.

10. Service function

Send CGI Command sends any command to the decoder. It can change every decoder setting, also the network settings and factory reset. Use it only for service. Never put it on a user panel.

Without a key the driver works for 2 hours after every start. Then it stops talking to the decoder, License Status shows "Unlicensed - stopped", and the event License Trial Expired runs. A restart gives 2 more hours. If a key is wrong, Last Error explains why.
