IKEA DIRIGERA Blinds

Two-way RTI control of IKEA's motorised roller blinds — FYRTUR, KADRILJ, PRAKTLYSING and TREDANSEN — through the DIRIGERA hub's local network API. Everything runs on the LAN with no IKEA cloud login at runtime, so blinds respond instantly and keep working even when the internet is down.

Key Features

  • Up to 40 blinds from a single driver, each added as a Shade source to its room.
  • Full control: open, close, stop, and set any position from 0 to 100%.
  • Real-time feedback: open / closed state and live position, plus per-blind battery level and reachability.
  • One-tag wiring: drop the Shade Up / Down / Stop / Level tags and each carries both its command and its matching feedback.
  • One-click setup in Integration Designer: right-click to pair with the hub (a single button press), then auto-discover every blind by name — no manual typing.
  • 100% local: direct to the DIRIGERA hub, no cloud relay or account needed at runtime.

Requirements

  • IKEA DIRIGERA hub on the same network (a DHCP reservation is recommended).
  • IKEA motorised blinds already added in the IKEA Home Smart app.
  • RTI XP processor and Integration Designer.

How It Works

The driver talks straight to the DIRIGERA hub over its secure local REST API. A one-time button-press pairing inside Integration Designer issues a long-lived access token, then the built-in discovery fills in every blind automatically. Each blind is matched by the name you gave it in the IKEA app and exposed to RTI with full two-way control and feedback.

IKEA DIRIGERA Blinds Control Driver

Version 0.4

Controls IKEA motorized roller blinds (FYRTUR, KADRILJ, PRAKTLYSING, TREDANSEN) paired to a DIRIGERA hub, over the hub's local network API. Up to 40 blinds. No cloud login on the control side after a one-time token.

Setup

1. Give the DIRIGERA hub a fixed IP (a DHCP reservation on the router) and enter it in Hub IP Address. Leave Use HTTPS ON and Hub Port at 8443 for a real hub.

2. Right-click the driver in Integration Designer and choose "Pair with DIRIGERA Hub". When prompted, press the action button on the underside of the hub, then click OK. The access token is saved automatically (no manual paste).

3. Right-click again and choose "Discover DIRIGERA Blinds". This fills in Number of Blinds and every Blind Name straight from the hub - no typing.

4. (If your Integration Designer is older and the menus are unavailable, paste a bearer token into Hub Token by hand and enter each Blind Name EXACTLY as it appears in the IKEA Home Smart app.)

5. Deploy. Use the debug console (telnet the processor on the Debug Port, default 12513) and type "blinds" to confirm each name matched.

Control

Each blind is added as a Shade source to its room. Drop the Shade Up / Shade Down / Shade Stop / Shade Level tags onto buttons or a list and pick the blind. There are also per-blind tags (Shade 1 Up, Shade 2 Down, ...) for fixed buttons.

Position runs 0 to 100 where 0 is fully open and 100 is fully closed. If a blind reports the wrong way round, turn on Invert Position.

Feedback

Per blind: Position, Target, Moving, State, Battery and Reachable. The Connected and Hub Status variables show the overall link. Events fire when a blind reaches fully open or fully closed, and on connect / disconnect / token error.

Troubleshooting

- Status "Needs HTTPS": turn Use HTTPS ON (port 8443).

- Status "Token invalid/expired": re-pair the hub and paste a fresh token.

- A blind shows "Not found": its Blind Name does not match the IKEA app name. Use the debug console "blinds" command to see the exact names the hub reports.

Licensing

The driver runs in a 120-minute trial, then stops sending commands until a licence key is entered. The key is tied to this processor (its MAC is shown in the MAC For Key variable). Request a key from Smart Home Programming.
