Global Cache iTach IR
Fire IR from an RTI processor through a Global Cache iTach IP2IR, iTach Flex (IR) or GC-100 over the network - the bridge that puts an IR emitter anywhere on the LAN, with no direct wiring back to the processor.

Requirements
- A Global Cache iTach IP2IR, iTach Flex (IR) or GC-100 IR module on the LAN
- RTI XP processor (runtime 24+) on the same network
- IR emitters attached to the Global Cache ports, aimed at the target devices
- The IR codes for your devices - as Pronto Hex, a Global Cache .cml library, or learnable from a handset
How It Works
Pick your Global Cache model and the driver auto-sets the IR port count and each port's module:connector address, connects on TCP 4998 and runs getdevices. Build your command set by pasting Pronto codes, importing an RTI .cml Infrared Library, or learning codes off a handset. Every stored command fires a sendir frame out its chosen emitter port and is exposed as a taggable button and a macro step, so a panel button press (or a macro) sends the IR straight through the Global Cache to the device.
Global Cache iTach IR Control Driver

Sends IR out a Global Cache iTach IP2IR, iTach Flex (IR) or GC-100 IR module over the Global Cache Unified TCP API. Paste Pronto codes, import an RTI .cml IR library, or learn codes from a handset - then fire them from buttons or macros.
Setup
1. Enter the Host (IP Address) of the Global Cache device.
2. Pick the Model. This auto-sets the IR Port Count and the default module:connector addresses (choose Custom to set them by hand).
3. The driver connects on TCP 4998, runs getdevices and lists the discovered modules in the Devices variable. Confirm each IR port's Address (module:connector) matches - e.g. an iTach IP2IR shows one module with three connectors: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3.
IR Ports
- Set the IR Port Count and give each port a Name and Address (module:connector). 1:1 and 1:2 are the wired-emitter connectors; 1:3 is the built-in blaster on an IP2IR.
- Each port has a Send function and a Stop function.
IR Commands (code library)
- Set the IR Command Count, then for each command enter a Name, the IR Port it fires out, a Code, and a Repeat count.
- The Code field accepts ANY of three forms - the driver converts automatically:
- Pronto Hex (starts 0000 ...) - the common format from IR databases and handsets.
- A Global Cache code tail: freq,repeat,offset,on,off,...
- A full sendir line (it is re-addressed to the chosen port).
- Repeat applies to Pronto codes (2-3 is typical for a TV button press).
- Each command becomes a Send button you can drop onto a page.
Import an IR Library (.cml)
Instead of pasting codes one by one, import an existing RTI Infrared Library:
1. Open the IR Library Import (.cml) category. Set Remote # in library (1 for the first remote) and Fire out IR Port.
2. Click Import IR Library and browse to your .cml file.
3. The selected remote's commands auto-fill the IR Commands above (up to 80 total), and a popup lists every remote in the library with its number. Each imported name is prefixed with its port, e.g. P1 Power.
4. To import a different remote, change Remote # in library and re-select the file.
Adding a second device (another IR port): after importing the first device, set Import mode to Add to existing, set Fire out IR Port to the second port, then change the Remote # (or select a new file) to import. The new commands are appended (they are NOT cleared) and prefixed P2, so the list reads P1 Power, P1 Vol +, ... then P2 Power, P2 Vol +, and so on. Leave Import mode on Replace to clear everything and start again. Note: the import runs when you select a file or change the Remote # - re-selecting the same file does not re-run it.
IR Learn
- Run IR Learn (start) to enable the device's IR learner, point a handset at the learner window, and the captured code appears in the IR Learned Code variable.
- Copy that code into an IR Command's Code field. Run IR Learn (stop) when finished.
Wiring to buttons (tags)
Drop these tags onto buttons to auto-program them:
- IR 1 Send / IR 2 Send / ... - fire a code out that port.
- IR Command 1 / IR Command 2 / ... - fire a stored command.
Or bind any Send function to a button's macro directly. The Get Devices, Refresh State and Reconnect functions are available for setup and recovery.
Diagnostics
- A telnet debug console is available on the Debug Console Port (default 12540; set 0 to disable). It reports status and can fire test codes.
- Debug Level controls log detail. Remote Logging (development only) is off by default.
Licensing
A 120-minute trial runs on load. After the trial, IR sends are blocked until a licence key is entered in the Licence Key field; the connection and diagnostics keep working. A key is issued per processor.
