Global Cache iTach CC Control Driver

IP control of Global Cache iTach IP2CC contact closure modules over TCP. Supports up to 8 units for a total of 24 relay outputs. Perfect for gates, garage doors, projection screens, blinds and any device controlled by contact closure.

How It Works

The driver maintains persistent TCP connections to each iTach IP2CC unit on port 4998. Relay commands are sent instantly with optimistic UI feedback. State is verified via configurable polling. Each unit and relay can be custom-named so functions appear clearly in the Integration Designer macro editor.

This driver controls Global Cache iTach IP2CC contact closure devices over your local network. Each iTach IP2CC unit has 3 relay outputs that can be opened or closed to control gates, doors, screens, blinds, and other devices.

The driver supports up to 8 iTach IP2CC units for a total of 24 relay outputs.

Free Trial:

The driver operates in a 2-hour trial mode without a licence key. The trial provides full functionality and resets each time the RTI processor is rebooted.

Configuration

Licence Settings

Licence Key - Enter your licence key here. Leave as 'trial' for 2-hour trial mode.

General Settings

Polling Interval - How often to query relay states (5-300 seconds). Default is 30 seconds.

Debug Logging - Enable detailed output in TraceView for troubleshooting.

Unit Settings (Units 1-8)

Enable Unit - Check to enable this iTach unit.

IP Address - The IP address of the iTach IP2CC on your network.

Name - A friendly name for this unit (e.g., "Front Gate Controller").

Relay 1/2/3 Name - Friendly names for each relay (e.g., "Gate", "Garage", "Screen").

Functions

Generic Relay Control

These functions accept Unit Number and Relay Number parameters:

Relay Close - Close the specified relay (activate)

Relay Open - Open the specified relay (deactivate)

Relay Toggle - Toggle the relay state

Per-Unit Control

Direct control functions are provided for each unit and relay. These show your custom names in the macro editor for easy identification.

System Variables

Driver Online - True when driver is running

Driver Version - Current driver version

[Unit Name] Online - Connection status for each unit

[Unit Name] [Relay Name] - Current state of each relay (true = closed)

Network Requirements

iTach IP2CC devices use TCP port 4998

Ensure the XP processor can reach the iTach devices on your network

Static IP addresses are recommended for iTach devices

Troubleshooting

Unit shows offline:

Verify the IP address is correct

Ensure the iTach device is powered on and connected to the network

Check that port 4998 is not blocked by a firewall

Try pinging the iTach from a computer on the same network

Relay commands not working:

Enable Debug Logging and check TraceView for errors

Verify the iTach is responding (check Online status)

Ensure relay wiring is correct on the iTach device

Check that your licence key is valid (trial may have expired)

Trial expired message:

The 2-hour trial has ended
