Hisense_DM/GM50D
By: Daniel Richer
Updated: July 1, 2026
Version: 1.5
Driver Information
Control for DM and GM50D series of Hisense Commercial displays.
Power On will require Wake On LAN (WOL) which will require the TV to be connected to the network via hardwired ethernet cable.
All other commands will work via direct IP commands.
Supported Devices
DM66D series
GM50D series
Limitations
Only 1 network connection is allowed to the Hisense displays – this is a Hisense limitation.
Hardwired ethernet connection needed if requiring to power display on via IP control.
After TV is powered on there may be a small time delay before TV allows for IP control – have tried to reduce this as much as possible but seems display takes some time to respond after being powered on.
Display Configuration
To gain access to the IP control side please configure the display to allow this.
1. Launch the IP Control App ---- Home > All Apps > IP Control
2. Set the port number – default is port 8000, if this is occupied choose a port between 5000 – 12000 (will need to stop services to alter and restart once changes made)
Nothing needed for RS232 control - however please note pin outs for the display are as follows
3 = Ground
5 = RX
8 = TX
Device Configuration
Name – Name of TV (can leave as the default – Hisense)
For IP control you have
IP Address – IP address of the display
Port number - as you have set in the TV
MAC Address – MAC address required for WOL

Version 1.1

Audit pass: stdmessage() now gated behind Debug toggle so production deployments stay quiet in TraceViewer. RS232 poll timer no longer dies after first fire (now self-arms each cycle). DeviceDescription template corrected from invalid "TV" to "Cable/Satellite TV" (autoprogramming compatibility).
