Aten PE PDU RTI Driver Instructions
Aten PDU | IP Only
Introduction & Manufacturer Profile
ATEN Technology is a leading provider of connectivity and power management solutions. The Aten PDU series delivers reliable, secure remote power control for servers and network equipment over IP. This driver supports Telnet-based control and monitoring of supported Aten PDUs via RTI Integration Designer.
Version History
Version 1.0
Initial release supporting Aten PDUs with 4, 8, 16, and 24 outlets over Telnet.
Version 1.1
Outlet naming + verify polling.
Version 1.2 - April 28, 2026: full audit + feature pass.
- Added per-outlet metering (current, power) and device totals (voltage, current, power, energy, power factor, frequency).
- Added Outlet Tripped (breaker pop) detection with OUTLET_TRIPPED event.
- Added Pending state sysvar per outlet.
- Added "All Outlets On" / "All Outlets Off" group commands.
- Added SystemEvents: CONNECTED, DISCONNECTED, AUTH_OK, AUTH_FAILED, OUTLET_TRIPPED.
- Auto-detect metering capability: device replies "Not Support" disables metering polling automatically.
- Fixed status command to use documented "format" option ("read status oNN format").
- Renamed Username/Password sysvars to LoginValid (cleaner, less confusing).
- Fixed DeviceDescription template (was invalid "Generic IP Driver", now "Network Switch").
- Removed redundant ModelIndex >= 1 conditions on outlets 1-4.
- Heartbeat tracing changed from sysmsg (always prints) to dbg (only when EnableDebug).
