Intecular InvisOutlet Pro

RTI Driver Instructions - Version 1.41

Overview

This driver provides communication between an RTI XP processor and Intecular InvisOutlet Pro devices.

It controls both switched outlets and the nightlight, reads available sensor data, and provides events for outlet, nightlight, motion, and occupancy state changes.

The driver uses WebSocket as the primary connection with automatic TCP fallback. Device updates are pushed to the RTI processor without routine polling.

Before Adding the Driver

Set up every InvisOutlet completely in the Intecular app before running RTI discovery.

Confirm that each outlet is connected to the same local network as the Integration Designer computer and RTI processor.

Install any desired Intecular firmware updates before commissioning the RTI system.

Create a DHCP reservation for each InvisOutlet in the router using its MAC address. A fixed address is strongly recommended because the runtime driver connects to the saved IP address.

Automatic Configuration

Add the Intecular InvisOutlet driver to the RTI project.

From the driver menu, select Discover InvisOutlets.

The configuration script scans the local network, verifies each device through the Intecular API, and builds the driver configuration.

Each discovered device is identified as InvisOutlet followed by the last four characters of its MAC address, for example InvisOutlet9850.

For each RTI outlet slot, select the desired Discovered Device and enter a Friendly Name such as Family Room, Kitchen, or Office.

The Friendly Name is used for dynamic naming in Integration Designer. If the default name is retained, the source remains named InvisOutlet####.

Changing the order of discovered devices swaps the complete device record, including its friendly name and internal identity information.

On later discovery runs, devices that are still present keep their current RTI slot order. Newly found devices are appended. Devices no longer found are removed, and the discovery summary identifies what was added or removed.

Manual Configuration

Automatic discovery is recommended. If discovery cannot be used, configure the driver manually.

Set Max Outlets to the number of InvisOutlet devices being used.

For each outlet, enter its IP Address and Friendly Name. The top plug, bottom plug, and nightlight names may also be entered manually.

When the driver connects, it reads the device identity and accessory names from the outlet. A DHCP reservation or static IP is still required.

Connection Mode

Auto is the recommended setting. The driver tries WebSocket first and uses TCP as a fallback.

WebSocket Only and TCP Only are available for testing and troubleshooting.
